The programme is divided into units of study called modules which are assigned a number of ‘credits’. The credit rating of a module is proportional to the total workload, with 1 credit being nominally equivalent to 10 hours of work. As a BCU student, you will also have access to the Curzon library, with extensive opening times to facilitate flexible studying around your life. The building has a range of facilities available including studios, workshops, specialist art and design library, bookable spaces and lecture/seminar rooms. Deutsche Bank, Hornby PLC, Samsung, and Sennheiser were among the top business names to be awarded for their collaborations with the arts at the 35th Arts & Business Awards held last night at the British Film Institute.
Dr. Shwetal A. Patel is a writer and researcher working at the intersection of contemporary art and a founding member of India’s first visual arts biennial, the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Extensive use of invited curators and museum/gallery professionals as guest speakers to contribute lectures to the taught modules as appropriate. A three term MA programme, structured around four taught modules , including a work placement, in addition to a final dissertation or curatorial project . The Art Business course has been written in consultation with external partners to ensure its value and currency. It has a direct relationship with Ikon gallery and Colmore Business District, ensuring there are live experiences for students in the profit/not-for-profit sectors.
